lf you have any medical condition, you need to check with your local physician.
You can phone the Yukon Medical Research Institute and tell them where you are going
in Africa, and they will tell you exactly what you need to know.

 

If you going to South Africa, in my opinion, the only need is for Malaria prophylaxis, if
you are going to a malaria area. Just for an example, we stay in a malaria area and we only know of 1 person who got malaria in the past 15 years.


In Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia and Tanzania, extra shots like yellow fever might be required so please make sure before traveling.


In South Africa we have very good private medical care if needed, it is advised to bring extra supplies
of medications you might need. Medical insurance is available to cover your hunting trip.


Most of the plains game hunts in SA are not very strenuous — walk 'n stalk are done but
will be for short periods, ex. 2 miles.
If you hunt buffalo or Elephant in Big game areas, you will have to be walking fit as we
will cover + 8 miles in the morning & 5 miles in the afternoon.
